The covid-19, also known as Coronavirus or Sars cov 2, has largely disrupted human life in its different aspects; economically, socially, physically, and psychologically. Fortunately, science has taken the lead.
And this by the creation of several covid vaccines. Although it has not been able to stop it definitively, it has decreased the speed of its spread. However, not everyone agrees on the duration of its effectiveness, which gives rise to opposing opinions from virus experts.
In the U.S , the dominant public health message has changed from “vaccinate yourself” to “take a second covid booster shot if you are already vaccinated”. In the same country on March 29, CDC and FDA gave the green light to a second vaccine dose.
They limited the category that could benefit from it according to criteria, we quote: having passed more than 4 months after the first dose, and being at least 50 years old.

But its effectiveness in avoiding a probable hospitalization decreases after only 4 months, leaving room for doubt as to whether to give in and do it or not.
This was endorsed by the New England Journal of Medicine, which revealed that in Israel – where authorities began administering fourth doses of vaccine to the elderly in January – the peak of protection was reached four weeks after vaccination. After just one month, the effectiveness began to wane.
Since its appearance, this virus has not stopped degrading our mental health. Also, hesitating whether to take the vaccine or not, makes us succumb to stress, anxiety, and a terrible fear of the future.
But we cannot deny that, thanks to vaccines today, the world has been able to move forward again and overcome the aftermath of this global crisis. Science is an arsenal of countries.
The discussion on the effectiveness of these vaccines has taken a different path, and the effectiveness is now linked to the time when the vaccine is taken. In fact, according to vaccine experts, before taking a second dose of vaccine, it is necessary to plan its timing.
Indeed, it should be taken two weeks before the possibility of a potential gathering or even more. Gregory Poland, MD, director of the vaccine research group at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, said: “The best time to get this booster would be two weeks before you get infected,” So the best solution is to distance yourself from people for at least two weeks after the second dose of the vaccine.

And according to the same expert, the second dose remains very necessary in a context of frequenting and gathering with people.
