1. Cheese Sandwich and Coffee

You’re late for work, and you quickly make a cheese sandwich and a cup of coffee. Do you know that it’s a bad food combination? The bread is simple carbohydrates that prevent the digestion of calcium in cheese.

Your cardiovascular and nervous systems need calcium. Moreover, instant coffee doesn’t add anything beneficial to your health.

Replace coffee with green or white tea if you insist on having your cheese sandwich.

2. Cucumbers and Tomatoes

Do you think this food combination makes your summer salad healthy? Better think again. Research says that these two vegetables affect your body’s biochemical pathways.

For example, simultaneous eating of tomatoes and cucumbers can cause swelling and excessive calcination. Moreover, your body can’t properly digest the vitamin content of these two veggies.

Try eating cucumbers and tomatoes separately. For instance, have a salad of greens and tomatoes today and cucumbers the next day.

3. Meat and Potatoes

A food combination of steak and fries is terrible for your health because the meat proteins demand acidic digestive fluids, while the potato starch requires alkalosis. So when you combine these two foods, expect to experience gas, heartburn, and belching.

If you’re going to have meat, don’t choose starch vegetables. Instead, opt for zucchini, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, and asparagus.

4. Minced Meat and Pasta

Your salivary glands produce amylase and ptyalin, transforming pasta or starchy carbohydrates into simple sugars. These sugars cover the meat proteins to create a chemical mixture that results in cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

If you wish to eat pasta, don’t eat it with meat. Moreover, it would help to choose durum wheat pasta with herb sauces.

5. Nuts and Beers

Do you know that high-salt foods like nuts don’t have benefits for your health? They can also result in dehydration, which increases the chance of drinking another glass of beer.

If you’re drinking alcohol with friends, have water handy to prevent dehydration.

6. Pineapple and Dairy

Sour fruits slow down digestion, especially in the morning. Moreover, the bromelain in pineapple causes intoxication if you eat it with dairy products.

If you’re eating dairy products with fruits, replace pineapple with dried plums or apricots.

7. Banana and Milk

The food combination of milk and banana may seem suitable for your health because preparation is fast and offers nourishment.

However, you should eat sweet fruits like bananas separately because they slow down digestion and remain in your body for longer, especially if you eat them with other foods. Moreover, it’s healthier to drink milk separately.

Instead of eating bananas with milk, why not try snacking on bananas between meals instead?
