1. Deli Meat Recall
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for “RTE” sliced Black Forest Ham on the 18th of May, delivered to various Walmart stores and Walmart catering menu.
The items may have been undercooked as a consequence of underprocessing, according to the FDA, which also advised customers not to eat the ham if they had purchased it. Instead, the FSIS advised customers to either discard the goods or return them to Walmart.

Undercooked meat, particularly pork, can be infested with a string worm called Trichinella spiralis, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Trichinosis, a kind of food poisoning, can be caused by people eating raw or undercooked pork products contaminated with this worm’s larvae.
This terrible disease frequently necessitates repeated restroom visits. Because symptoms might appear 10 to 14 days after consuming infected food, it’s easy to confuse it with other ailments. Symptoms can continue up to 45 days in extreme situations and possibly result in death.
So it doesn’t matter how long is a ham good for in the refrigerator or how long can ham last in the fridge, if it is undercooked, it can have adverse effects on our bodies.
2. Undercooked Ham
According to the FSIS, the item was branded as a Great Value Package of Black Forest Ham Water Added and manufactured particularly in Plumrose, USA. Officials think the ham product is no longer available for purchase in retailers, thus no comprehensive recall has been issued.
Check your refrigerator if you buy meat from Walmart in Indiana, Ohio, or Illinois since these three states received shipments of the recalled items. To be on the safe side, if you regularly purchase your groceries from these areas, just don’t buy ground beef from Walmart.
