There are a lot of chronic diseases that one can be suffering from, and among the lot of them is a pretty serious one that has been coined chronic kidney disease.
This chronic disease in particular is quite scary and deadly due to the fact that the organ, in this case, the kidneys, become severely damaged and thus left unable to filter as they normally would.
As a direct result of this inability, the waste products within our blood would start to build up, which itself would eventually lead to more harmful repercussions.
Luckily, chronic kidney disease displays certain symptoms that can give it away and promote an early diagnosis.

The symptoms can manifest in many different places within our body, with new reports from doctors and medical professionals claiming that we should all keep a keen eye on places, such as our hands and feet, to catch an early sign of kidney problems.
Many of us could claim that we have suffered from some sort of minor swelling in random parts of our bodies without the swelling being linked to some deeper medical issues.
Whilst this is true, as of recently, health experts, as well as medical professionals, have urged everyone to seek out medical help if the swelling occurs and is limited to a person’s hands, feet, and eyes.
There is a pretty reasonable chance that the reason behind the swelling up of these areas is due to nephrotic syndrome. This is a syndrome that comes about as a complication of kidney disease.
The aforementioned nephrotic syndrome comes about in a person when the tiny blood vessels within a human’s kidneys, medically coined as glomeruli, are affected by some form of kidney disease that the person is suffering from.
These blood vessels or the glomeruli take up the responsibility of filtering out waste as well as any bit of excess water into a person’s urine, but when the vessels are scarred, it can result in expelling useful proteins that your body might need in the form of urine.
Usually, a healthy set of kidneys would only allow for about up to one gram or less of protein to be expelled out of the body in the form of urine, however, people suffering from nephrotic syndrome can leak up to around three grams of protein and sometimes even more into their urine within a single day.

Protein being exceeded into urine is a pretty straightforward sign of kidney damage, and swelling around the hands, feet, and eyes is the main result of that leakage.
