With everything that happened due to COVID , unvaccinated people were starting to find themselves not allowed in many locations. It was almost certain that everyone was expecting another big serious wave of cases to rise again, but as February is over, the numbers are looking substantially better.
So, what does that mean for unvaccinated people? And which restrictions are slowly being lifted? Well, more on this below to see what kind of restrictions have been changed.
As the number of cases slowly decreases, professionals in the field said that the number of cases has been down by 42.8 percent overall and by 25.4 percent in hospitals. This has led to slowly lifting the restrictions that were originally placed to keep those numbers down.
This means that in a way or another, progress is being seen and life is slowly starting to go back to normal. Although the normal we were all used to is very different from what we would call normal now, this progress is still important nonetheless.

As a way to help fight this disease and keep it from spreading, people were always required to show their proof of vaccination before entering a lot of places like restaurants, gyms, etc. However, as of recently, they are not required to do that anymore.
Though this may seem like good news, it is not definite nor is it general. This simply means that while one place might not request proof of vaccination and/or booster, another will. So it is up to them to see if they still want to keep these restrictions or not.
Professionals in the matter also said that the vaccine mandate has been lifted because it reached the desired outcome, and expressed comfort in announcing a winter plan in the context of preventative measures.
To make things even better, statistics show that around 93% of people have already received at least their first dose.
People seem to also be a lot more careful regarding their vaccinations and doing their best to keep themselves and others safe, which is what helped the situation get better altogether; it was this sense of responsibility.

D.C was not the only city to slowly lift these restrictions, the mayors of Minnesota have also decided to follow those steps and slowly let go of the mandatory proof of vaccination. So as the numbers keep dropping, it will only get better from there.
