When it comes to men, there is one specific condition that they get diagnosed with more than others, and that would be prostate cancer. Surprisingly, it is more common than we like to think.

When it comes to certain diseases, our bodies are quick to warn us when something is not working, it would give us hints, signs, or anything of that sort so we can pay attention and get it checked out before it gets worse.

However, with prostate cancer, it does not work like that. This disease is silent and it moves silently too. Symptoms usually do not show until it is too late, unfortunately.

Fear not though, you can still recognize these symptoms and get help.

Read on if you’re curious to know what those symptoms might be.

The first sign of the 5 symptoms would be pain when you are urinating or ejaculating. If you have experienced this before, it definitely doesn’t mean that you have prostate cancer.

Sometimes, pain when urinating or ejaculating happens because of an infection of some sort, but you would not be able to know unless you get it checked out by your doctor so you can get further input.

The second sign would be urinating very frequently, especially at night more than any other time during the day.

Again, maybe you have had too much water to drink and this is how your body is balancing itself out, or maybe it does not happen often, but if it does and you can sense it is different, then go to a doctor as soon as possible.

The 3rd symptom is related to the second as well, and that is having a hard time stopping or starting urination. Controlling urination should not be that hard and it most definitely should not be painful either.

The fourth symptom is suddenly developing erectile dysfunction. If you are older then this is something that happens, but if you are young and you develop it out of nowhere, then a professional should be consulted to run the proper tests.

Last but not least, the last symptom is finding blood in your semen or urine. Blood should not be in any of these two at all, and any hint of it there should be checked out at once.

There are other symptoms as well, but they might go unnoticed sometimes such as weakening the flow of your urine or feeling any pain in or around the prostate area, more specifically when you sit.

For some men, if they had it and it had developed beyond the prostate, swelling in the hip and lower back can so occur.

With this being said, it is also very crucial to note that cancer symptoms depend on many other factors too. Such as what, you might be asking? Well, to start, age, race and ethnicity, as well as family history.

So if you are older than 65 years of age, are an African descent, or have a family history related to this, you are at a bigger risk.
