The pandemic is still something we are yet to get used to. It was unexpected and it seems like changes are still going to continue to happen.
There has been a recent Omicron surge and it was by far the worst one in the United States since the pandemic started, fortunately for everyone involved, the numbers have been looking great and they steadily fell into balance again.
Just in the last week it’s been stated that cases have declined about 5 percent, while hospitalization fell back about 21 percent. However, as positive as this might sound, a new subvariant might slowly shift that progress into something negative.

Dr. Fauci, who is an expert in the field, is warning Americans that they might have to prepare for sanitary restrictions to be reinstated once again.
During an interview held in March, Dr. Fauci was asked about what should be expected in the upcoming weeks or months regarding the next move on the pandemic.
He stated that everyone should start preparing for the restrictions that have been lifted to be put in place again because new variants are emerging and it could be necessary to take action again to help stop the spread.
He seemed keen on avoiding the word “lockdown” because he said that it was too charged. However, he still highlighted how important it was to keep an eye out for what could possibly happen in the next period.
He continued by adding that if such a thing were to happen, then some restrictions must be put down in place such as wearing masks indoors.
An increase in cases is to be expected according to experts. In fact, this has already started all across Europe. Cases in France have increased by 95 percent, 3 percent in Spain and 45 percent in the United Kingdom.
So compared to these numbers, things in the states are not so bad because the cases are still declining but a change in that regard should be expected. He also pointed out how the relaxed restrictions are also taking part in the possibility of a surge.
People now are much more relaxed in terms of when and where they wear their masks, very little social distancing and barely any sanitizing.

He ends it by saying that everything is still unpredictable because this virus has “fooled” us quite a few times. But most importantly, stay safe.
