Following complaints from many customers that they had discovered tiny metal pieces in their chicken patties, the Tyson food company recently announced a voluntary recall of their dinosaur-shaped nuggets.

On November 4, the Food Safety officials declared that Tyson was removing 30,000 pounds of entirely prepared, coated, shaped chicken patties popularly called Fun Nuggets, from stores as of right away.

Here is why you should throw away the Tyson chicken nuggets ordered for supper tonight!

1. Tyson Recalled Their Frozen Chicken Patties in 9 U.S. States

Food Safety officials state that the aforementioned frozen chicken nuggets were manufactured on September 5, 2023, and come with an expiration date of September 4, 2024.

These 29-ounce containers of Tyson’s Fun Nuggets, which can be reheated in the microwave or air fryer, are a pleasure for everyone. So far, nine U.S. states have been affected by the recall: Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky, California, Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Ohio.

The Food and Safety Administration advises citizens of these U.S. states who previously bought Tyson’s Fun Nuggets to check if the item in question may have been impacted by looking up the enterprise number. This recall relates to the “P-7211” enterprise number.

2. What to Do If You Purchased the Recalled Product

Authorities in charge of food safety advise people to discard or return products to the original retailer if the enterprise number on them matches. There has been no other documented occurrence of harm.

However, the agency was notified of one minor mouth injury linked to the ingestion of the nuggets. Get help from your healthcare professional if you think the recalled product is to blame for any oral injuries you may have had owing to the metal pieces.

Tyson customers who have questions regarding the recall can get in touch with the food company in addition to having the recalled product taken down from stores and freezers. As they are not included in the recall and are not assigned the number P-7211, Tyson Fun Nuggets manufactured after mid-September ought to be safe to eat.

Bottom Line

It is common in the food industry for companies to voluntarily recall some of their items, so it is important for customers to be aware of any of these recalls to remain safe.
