Having a large supply of food in your freezer available will make preparing food less hectic. Storing it all from packaged foods like meats and vegetables to whole meals like frozen pizzas will reduce the likelihood that you will run out of food when it is time to dine.
But since the USDA and FSIS issued a public health warning, you might want to be on the watch for particular chicken and beef items the next time you are digging through the freezer.
Find out which items to toss out right away by reading on.
1. Recent Meat-Based Products Recalls
Health organizations have the responsibility of ensuring that businesses adhere to the stringent rules and requirements established to protect the public.

While every precaution is taken to ensure that no potentially dangerous products reach the market, occasionally a recall is necessary only after a product has been delivered to a retailer and sold to a client.
Fresh and frozen meat, poultry, and fish items, as well as a few modern instances, can fall under this category.
By way of illustration, the Tennessee-based Magnolia Provision Company voluntarily recalled three of its beef jerky products, the FDA said on September 6.
According to independent testing, the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacterium that can result in potentially life-threatening infections.
Customers were advised to either throw away the affected items or take them back to their place of purchase.
2. Recall on a Frozen Beef Commodity
Approximately 22,061 pounds of frozen beef products were recalled by Valley International Cold Storage Acquisition in Texas on September 17, according to the FSIS.
The product is designated as “Healthy Choice POWER BOWLS Korean-Style Beef” specifically. The end flap of the carton will also be printed with the establishment number “34622”.
Clients’ concerns that the boxes marketed as Korean-style beef really included a chicken-based product prompted the business to initiate the recall, according to the agency’s notification.
According to the EPA, the mislabeling indicates that milk, a recognized food allergy, was not listed on the frozen item.
3. Recall on a Poultry Commodity
A public health warning for raw, ready-to-cook chicken dinners was released by FSIS on September 16. The product comes with the description “aprons READY TO COOK MEAL FOR ONE BACON-CHEDDAR SMOTHERED CHICKEN.”
The product may include egg, a recognized food allergy, thus the EPA issued the advisory in a manner similar to the beef recall.
Buyers who complained that the item was mislabeled with information intended for a chicken cordon bleu dish that does not include egg informed the agency about the problem. For those who suffer from an egg allergy, the unreported substance poses a fairly huge danger.
If you ever purchase any recalled item, make sure not to consume it. You can either throw it away or return it for a refund. If you unknowingly consume it, consult your healthcare professional on the spot.
