Believe it or not, but paying attention to your stomach; how it functions, due to what, or just in general how it feels, can tell you a lot about your overall health.

If for whatever reason you find yourself nauseous, throwing up, and simply unable to keep anything in, then that might signify that you have had something bad for lunch and/or dinner, or maybe a stomach flu you ended up catching on your summer vacation.

However, sometimes there might be some underlying conditions that could potentially go unnoticed, you would not usually think it would be linked to anything too serious or dangerous.

3 conditions that are known as gallstones, hypoglycemia, and finally, pancreatitis have been closely linked to stomach distress, although there is one specific symptom that one should get checked as soon as possible because it could be due to a very serious condition, specifically linked to the liver.

If you are interested in knowing what it is then simply keep on reading. More on this will be below.

The liver tucked within your body is doing a very important job at keeping you alive because it performs up to 500 functions daily, all that because it is actually the body’s largest internal organ.

Your liver will be found on the upper right side of your abdomen, more specifically, right above your stomach.

So clearly, for an organ that big, quite a few tasks are cut out for it. Some basic tasks of the liver would be helping you with digesting, storing the proper nutrients in their place, keeping your immune system on track and helping your metabolism too.

What’s more interesting is that most people associate proper digestion with organs like the stomach or even intestines, but your liver actually plays a bigger role.

Liver helps in taking in all of the nutrients that your intestines have managed to absorb, your liver simply processes those even further and stores them properly.

Taking in the good nutrients is not the only job your liver takes on, it also clears out the bad toxins from your body.

All of this goes to show how important the liver is for your well being. It is so important in fact that life without any liver is basically impossible.

Unfortunately though, some tumors do form in the stomach and those could potentially harm your liver.

Professionals actually explain that even though not all tumors are dangerous or something to be worried about, some of them do require medical attention or at the very least a professional opinion.

Hyperglycemia, for example, could cause nausea, but because nausea has been most of the time linked to normal stomach flus or anything similar, it is rarely taken seriously off the bat.

This means the diagnosis could take longer to get diagnosed.

Experts advise that if nausea persists then medical attention is needed. Experts also state that, unfortunately, early stage liver cancer does not have any particular symptoms, but just to be safe you should get tested for any hepatitis infections and get regular check ups.
